FUT Season 8 has arrived in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. This is likely to be the last full season we see in FUT 23, so expect to see some incredible content released over the next few weeks. The FUTTIES promo is all set to kick things off as the theme of the new season, but will EA have any more surprises for us?

With the EA Sports FC 24 release date just a couple of months away, attention could turn to a warm-up event sooner rather than later. FUT Season 8 has come a little too soon for that, but it could be the final few weeks before the new title kicks in.

The FUT Season 8 release date was July 20 and will last six weeks. Each season in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team has begun on a Thursday at 3am ET / 8pm BST, and this continued in FUT Season 8.

The main release for the new season is the newest set of Season Progress rewards. In FUT Season 7 we saw an extra ten levels added, making it 40 sets of rewards than you can unlock. EA has stuck to the same formula, although there as an extra bonus LVL 41.

EA Play members will earn a significant XP boost at the start of the new season. The subscription service offers plenty of in-game rewards across EA’s sports games, and the XP boost in Ultimate Team can provide a head start in working through the levels.

The FUT Season 8 XP boost gives players 3,500 XP to begin the season. This will take you beyond LVL 3 in the season progress rewards. The rewards for these levels include two Stadium Theme Picks celebrating teams competing in the Women’s World Cup, and a free 75+ Rare Gold Players Pack.

FUT Season 8 rewards will be available to unlock for the duration of the season. As you complete more objectives, you will gain XP. This will see you fly through the early levels before reaching some of the more high-value rewards later on.

As mentioned above, there were 40 levels to complete for the first time in FUT Season 7. Previously we have seen 30 levels released each season, but EA has switched up how they do things, potentially a trial run ahead of EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team.

Storyline player picks have somewhat changed since the earlier seasons in FIFA 23. In the more recent seasons, top special items such as Trophy Titans Alessandro Del Piero and Flashback Jesus Navas have been made available.

At this late stage in the season, the players on offer are needed to be excellent for it to be a choice, and EA has not let us down. The final player in the season progress rewards is a premium chemistry Vinicius Jr. (98 overall).

The FUT Season 8 rewards are out. The full FUT Season 8 rewards list was as follows:

The FIFA 23 Level Up event will overlap slightly with FUT Season 8. EA’s latest promo will end on July 21. EA has now confirmed that the FUTTIES will kick things off in FUT Season 8. The classic Ultimate Team event ran for five weeks last year, so it could be a full season promo in FIFA 23.

We know EA likes to celebrate milestones with End of an Era items, but will they do one for the FIFA franchise? A full End of an Era promo featuring some of the best players we have seen throughout the years in FUT would be amazing.
